When it comes to choosing a place in the sun, Rosie Sutherland knows more about how to do it than most – she’s made a career out of it. Now you can share her exquisite taste in everything from one of her Greek hideaways to her French chateaux. CAROLINE FISHER met the woman with the keys to the doors.

For those who prefer a mixture of activity and pleasure, Castelvecchio hosts its first painting holiday from September 11 to 16. Cotswolds artists Chris Fothergill and David Durston, both with more than 20 years’ experience apiece, will lead a group of up to 25.

The site will feature 60 private holiday homes from Croatia and Spain to the caribbean to Greece, Italy and France.

Each highly detailed entry is accompanied by 12 photographs.
