Property Detail

Two Bays has been designed so that whilst the large double and twin bedded studios and the villa are independent, each sleeping two people, the villa can be linked through double doors to each studio for a combination of 4 or 6 people. The twin bedded studio connects internally making it ideal for families.  These doors are locked if separate guests are occupying the accommodation, and they also ensure privacy even when sharing with friends and family.  Each of the three properties has its own front door and the separate verandas do not overlook each other.

Two Bays has been furnished in a way that is elegantly simple, but caters for all your holiday needs.  Sustainable hardwood has been used for doors, windows and furniture.

Two Bays maximises living space by removing the boundaries between the outside and inside. There is no glass and all the windows and veranda doors have fully adjustable and lockable louvres.  The folding doors open 9 feet wide onto the large shaded verandas, to take advantage of the view and to catch the sea breezes that are a feature of Cabier.

Two Bays Villa:
The villa has a 100 foot long, deep shaded veranda that wraps itself around the sitting room and the bedroom.  Each room has two 9 foot wide openings with folding wooden doors, offering outdoor living even when inside the villa. The louvres on the doors are fully adjustable and lockable, as are the doors.

Views to the beach, bay and ocean from the veranda can be enjoyed from the swing seats. There is direct access to the garden.

The 27 foot long sitting room has a sofa, two easy chairs and (when you are not eating out on the veranda) a dining table with chairs for 6 people.

At one end of the room there is a fully equipped kitchen and breakfast bar with all appliances including an oven with grill, microwave and large fridge-freezer right down to the coffee-maker and toaster if you want to do some self-catering, having visited one of the local markets and been seduced by the local produce.

Apart from the two wide doorways onto the veranda, the sitting room has two large ceiling fans to assist the breezes that keep it cool.

The spacious bedroom has a queen-sized four poster bed with a mosquito net, a large wardrobe with hanging rails and shelves, a full en-suite bathroom with shower and wall-mounted hair-dryer; the bathroom can also be accessed from the sitting room.

The bedroom has views out over the ocean and Crochu Bay beach through the wide opening louvred doors and has two large ceiling fans to keep it cool. There is air conditioning available if needed.

Two Bays Studios:
Both of the studios each have their own private 19 foot long shaded elevated verandas with swing seats, table and chairs, as well as a large wardrobe with shelves, en-suite bathroom with shower and fully-equipped kitchen from a garlic crusher to a large fridge-freezer.

  • Bay-side Studio has a view overlooking Crochu Bay, beach and the ocean. It has a queen sized four poster bed with a mosquito net.
  • Beach-side Studio has a view to Cabier beach and back to the rainforest and Crochu village in the distance on the other side. It has two large single four poster beds with a mosquito net.

Both studios have 9 foot wide opening doorways with folding louvred doors to remove the barriers between outdoor and indoor living. The louvres on the doors are fully adjustable and lockable, as are the doors.

They each have two large ceiling fans to assist nature's breezes and air conditioning is available if needed, on the few occasions when nature is not doing its job.

Two Bays has a large garden which is shared by both villa and studios, with garden furniture, and is arranged so that there are separate areas and shade, all with a view.  Steps lead down to the road into Cabier Lodge with the path to the beach a few yards away.

There is an outside shower on the steps from the beach to wash off sand and salt after a swim.  There is a private car parking area with drying lines for towels and swimsuits by the laundry area on the other side of the property.

Local Area

Cabier Beach is a pristine quarter of a mile long curving strand of firm white sand with nothing behind it except palm trees and the odd cow, usually with a couple of egrets in attendance.

Other than at weekends, when some locals come to the beach, Cabier guests will normally have it to themselves - a bit like your own private beach.  The offshore reef protects both bays, making Cabier great for safe swimming in the clear warm water and for snorkelling around the promontory into Crochu bay.

You may be tempted to do a little inter–island visiting using the hydrofoil up to the neighbouring Grenadine islands of Carriacou and Petite Martinique or perhaps spend a day in St George’s just wandering around the beautiful harbour with its shops, restaurants and market.

There is easy coastal walking along the headlands to neighbouring beaches.  For those who are interested in more serious walking, the Grenada rainforest is not far away with a wide range of walking trails, colourful flora and fauna, birds, as well as monkeys, waterfalls with pools you can swim in, old rum distilleries and a chocolate plantation to visit.

The interior of the island is spectacular with vibrant colours. The locals are friendly and a lot of the island has yet to be touched by tourism. You may even find a village cricket match to watch. Driving is on the left and easy day trips will take you to what you want to see on any part of the island.

Cabier is about 45 minutes outside the capital St George’s which is reckoned to be the most beautiful harbour in the Caribbean and gives access to great sailing in the Grenadine islands.
