The house stands in its own grounds in a village high above a charming historic town called Sauveterre de Bearn, 50 minutes from Biarritz and the Atlantic Coast. It is also very near the mountains where one can go for lovely walks in the summer and skiing in the winter. Pamplona is one and a half hours away. It will take under three hours to reach Bilbao and the Gugenheim Museum. You could stop on the way to visit St Jean de Luz and San Sebastian.

The property, on a ridge, has spectacular mountain views south and to the west. Set in its own grounds the house has a large attached barn and a private swimming pool, gated and alarmed. There is a front entrance to the property and also a back drive. This very special house has been lovingly and tastefully restored. Much of the furniture is antique.

The Béarn is situated in South West France, on the edge of the Basque country and about an hour away from northern Spain. It is lovely countryside with the Pyrenees as a back drop.
