This property is a tastefully refurbished 18th century Basque family house, set amid large private grounds in a pristine landscape, in the very heart of the area.  Protected from the hustle and bustle of the Basque Coast, all areas of interest are within easy reach.



 

The house offers ample luxury accommodation with 5 bedrooms, 4 of which have en-suite facilities. There are two living rooms, a dining room, a reading room, a fully equipped kitchen and all modern amenities one would expect from a house of this standing are at hand.

 

The swimming pool -  two terraces and pool area, which includes a fully equipped pool house with shower and wc, sink, fridge and kettle on one side and towels and sunbeds in the other side. While ensuring total privacy, these outside quarters offer breathtaking views over the Pyrenees and Spain.


Local Area

The house lies just outside the sleepy village of St Pee de Nivelles at the foothills of the Pyrenees, within easy reach of beaches (Biarritz and St Jean de Luz are just 15 mins drive away), several golf courses, and easy access to a host of activities including surfing, canoeing and mountain hiking. With miles of sandy beaches, the coast here has become known throughout the world as a unique surfing destination.

 

Bidart Beach has an excellent fish restaurant.

 

Alternative activities include river rafting, fishing, sailing, windsurfing, tennis, horse riding or walking in the Pyrenees. There are 11 superb golf courses within close proximity, and the nearest ski resort is just an hour away from the property. This region is also known for its spas specialising in health and beauty treatments.

The elegant coastal resorts of Biarritz and St Jean de Luz will cater for the tastes of the more demanding, with a multitude of fine shops, restaurants, and renowned casinos.
