The villa has a 12m x 5m private Tuscan style swimming pool, which extends right into the terrace of the house and together with the beautiful garden and lush greenery that surrounds it, provides a frame for the natural beauty of the place. The area around the olive mill has been planted with indigenous trees, flower bushes and shrubs of the Greek flora. These, together with the existing ancestral olive trees and Italian cypresses, form a pleasant Mediterranean landscape. Local Area
There is a lovely sandy beach nearby (900m distance or 5 minutes drive), ideal for children as it is shallow at the edge, with umbrellas, sunbeds and a bar.
There is a very good fish taverna on a beach close by to the house.
The main town of the island, Argostoli, is 15 mins drive.
Local Services
Car Hire: The owner recommends a local company who have well maintained jeeps with roof and air-conditioning.
Shopping: There is supermarket, a butcher and a greengrocer on the way to Argostoli (about 10 mins drive). Poriorata, the local village has a baker and mini market and a cafe and 2 tavernas - all within walking distance.
